When the Village of French Settlement has a need to post an emergency or non-emergency "alert" it will be sent out via email and cell phone. Any citizen in our community is welcomed to join our "Alert" system by subscribing at the bottom of the home page.
Boil Water Notice

While connecting customers to the new water main on LA 444, the contractors damaged a tapping saddle which requires them to temporarily valve off part of the water main to make repairs. Customers on LA 444 between King George and Plantation Trace will be affected. This does not include customers who reside on Plantation Trace, Wanda Lee, and Acosta because they are still tied into the old water main. A boil water notice will be in effect for customers on LA 444 between King George and Plantation Trace once water has been restored.
